Can You Recognize A Scam Site?

The amount of PTC sites are increasing as the days goes by. Many of them promises paid to read emails with worth likes $5, $50 or even a $100 and upwards. I am warning you, DO NOT JOIN any of these sites. These prices are ridiculous! They are making an attempt to take your money and you will never see a penny of what you have work for. Of course, there's an EXCEPTION. Those are sites with so called "Redemption Only" sites where you can redeem your money for advertising only which is good if you have a website, blog, forum or even a homepage promoting your public profile because they can advertise your site without giving them a single cent.

Always check the site's advertising price to see if they're selling ads underprice. For example, if the site has 100 members and an email to all costs only $2 for a $10 link, you can clearly see that the site is underselling advertising. 100 members x $10 per member = $1,000. Therefore, the actual cost of the advertisement without taking into account the referral commission, comes to $1,000. If a site sells this link for only $2, the site is sustaining a loss of $988 per advertisement sold. This is just an example but note that there are sites selling $10, $20 and even links worth hundreds of dollars for just $2 - $3. Using simple calculation skills, you will see that such sites are totally unsustainable and therefore, short lived.

Don't worry if the site or sites you had joined offers less than a dollar only for every ad you click or email you read because even if they pay low, as long as they can guarantee that they will pay every time and effort that you spent reading ads or emails, you will eventually feel secured with the site and it will make you work hard and refer more friends.

Do More, Earn More with Paid-To-Clicks

Sign-up for free. Don't upgrade your membership yet. Make sure that the site is paying before you upgrade.
If you opt to upgrade, use your earnings to purchase their upgrade package (some sites has this kind of offers).
Refer more, and more friends! Use your charm to encourage them to join. Tell them your experience and how you earned extra income just by staying at home. Remember: the more you refer, the more you earn.
Don't stick to just one site. You can join as many as you can. As long as you can accommodate them. Each PTC sites has their own kind of offers and style.
Don't let your membership be suspended. You will loose all your earnings even if they allow you to re-open it. Make time to log-in to your account even if you don't click or read the ads. Open it at least once a month to avoid suspension. But you must be aware that you will earn nothing just by opening your account.
Advertise your referral links. You can increase your earnings by promoting them. They will provide you the necessary tools to help you promote their program. For a starter, you can use free web hosting or free blog site to promote your links. That way, you can get referrals from different locations without leaving your place.
Join forums. Share your thoughts and experiences to your co-PTC members. By joining discussions, you will gain more tips and techniques on how increase your earnings and they can even give you more PTC sites to join and referrals under you.
Avoid using cheats and auto click programs. Once the PTC site officials caught you, they will suspend you and loose all you earnings. You may be banned from other PTC sites where some of them are sister companies.
Try some offers that you think would benefit you. They sometimes show offers from their advertisers that can give you extra dollar. But don't just apply. Check if they are for free (if not, see if you can afford to join) and if they are worth signing-up.

Don't Be Scammed!

As I was browsing the internet, I found out that a lot of people are still being scammed by Charm-Mail. I stumbled upon a forum where a group of fellow PTC patron are discussing about who among them have been paid already by Charm-Mail and they all found out that the said program paid nobody. One of them said that she emailed them asking when she can get her pay-out and got no response but when she (posted as an advertiser) sent them an email inquiring about an advertising cost, they responded immediately. The said forum brought back the memory of my past experience with the said program.

I signed-up and used Charm-Mail for about a year and a half. When I reached their allowed pay out amount (the all member payout is $200,000.00), I requested for a pay-out but they didn't pay me. I emailed them asking why I wasn't paid where in my account status says that I was already credited.

I already suspected that Charm-Mail is a scam when a month passed without recieving a reply from them. They didn't even bother to send an email telling me that they received my inquiry and that they will attend to it.

Until now, I can still log-in to my account nothing has changed at the account statistic but I don't use them anymore.

To those who want to join paid-to programs, make sure that you checked/researched well if the they are trusted and reliable when it comes to paying their members. If you're not sure, you may still join them but once you reached the minimum pay-out, ask immediately for a pay-out so you would know if they are worth your time and effort.

Be A Smart Buyer

Set Your Limits.

Have your self a limit. Set the minimum and maximum amount that you wish to spend. Keep on reminding your self about your limit especially when you want to buy something. By giving yourself limits you are aware of the amount of money you have left. Your limits may vary from day to day, depending on the season and things you need. For example, you may need to stretch your limits during holidays. This means you'll give yourself more thoughts about spending more money. But before you stretch your limits, check if you can afford to stretch your budget and see if the other member of the family will approve it.

Be Conscious

There are some stores that are pro-shoppers while others may not. They are out there to trick you or rip you off. Which means, they are taking money you shouldn't have to pay. The first thing you need to do is to shop around, get different prices on the same things. This is quite time consuming, but it does work to help you save money. One common and easy ways to search for deals and prices is by calling different stores. By calling different stores you get a price range. The price range is the limits a product is selling for. When calling, you may get a high price on an item, and then a low price on the same item.

But even if you do get a cheap price, you need to think about a few things. "Does this store have a reputation for good quality or bad quality?" "Where is this store located?" and most importantly, "Is the company or store honest?". These three things are a big part in being a good buyer, so don't skip them over.

Being smart with money is a fundamental. You need to learn the tricks of sales. For instance, would you rather take $2 off of a $10.00 purchase or 30% off a $10.00 purchase. Your first choice probably was the first one. But the truth is 30% off, is a much better deal. It would take the purchase down to $7.00. So don't be impulsive, stop to take a look at the other deal.

Another thing to look for is how stores are competitive, learn to use this to your advantage. For example, store A has the toy truck for $2.99 in its catalog. Store B has the toy truck for $3.99 in its store. Now which one are you going to buy, of course A . Now what if the B store says to you, bring store A's catalog to our store and we will match that price and also take off an extra 15%, you now save $.45 bringing your total to $2.54. So you see the stores are very competitive, so use it to your advantage. Most of them will match prices if you can bring in the ad. To calculate a percentage you take your first number for example to find 15% of $3.00 you multiply $3.00 by .15. To do this just take off the percentage sign and slide the decimal two spots over to the left, so you are putting the decimal in front of the percentage number. So it would be $3.00 X .15= .45 that is how you calculate a percentage.

Clip coupons and use them; it is a great way to try new things. Watch the weekly sales ads; a lot of times I get items completely free. I regularly save 25 to 50 percent off my grocery bills! Also, watch the sales ads for meat on sale and stock up. If you have a separate freezer you can really take advantage of the sales. Sorting Coupons

I shop the ads, use Value Page and coupons to cut my grocery bill in half. The other day, Beechnut baby food worked out to be 12 jars for a dollar. Flex Shampoo is often free if you save their $1.00 off coupon until it goes on sale for $1.99. Sure it takes time and some sorting skills, but if I save $60 a week. I spend say, 3 hours on it, so $20 an hour sounds good to me!

When grocery shopping at a store which doubles coupons, you can also join the Store Club and get a store card if they have one. This card gives you extra discounts on all types of products and, when possible, you may have a coupon for a Club sale item. This increases your discount. Check for baby product discounts, too. For example,at Von's, for every $100 I spend on baby products they send me a $5 certificate to be used on any future purchases. These types of stores always have something special going on. Online Store Coupons

I love my coupons. I can't go grocery shopping without them. I still buy the store brand for some items though, like condiments. Anyway, I recently found that my favorite store (Kroger) has coupons for their brand online. You have to go to their website to order them and wait for them to be mailed. They have a different selection every week and it takes about 1-2 weeks. But the coupons are good for about 3 months.

Expired Coupons

For anyone who uses manufacture's coupons: Check with your grocery store to see if they accept expired coupons. Yes, expired coupons! Our grocery store here in Wisconsin called "Cub Foods" takes them - they have to be within 6 months prior to actual expiration date. There are also Cub Foods stores in Minnesota (I used to live there). So, if there is a Cub Food store in your city you should be able to use them. For other grocery stores your best bet is to ask.

Dealing With Rebates

Make sure that you save a copy of the rebate form immediately, just in case they take the rebate form offline. Saving money is one of those tasks that's so much easier said than done. There's more to it than spending less money (although that part alone can be challenging). How much money will you save, where will you put it, and how can you make sure it stays there? Here's how to set realistic goals, keep your spending in check, and pay yourself first.

Set savings goals. For short-term goals, this is easy. If you want to buy a video game, find out how much it costs; if you want to buy a house, determine how much of a down payment you’ll need. Be as detailed as possible, and try not to leave out small purchases. Assign each purchase or expenditure a category such as: Rent, Car insurance, Car payments, Phone Bill, Cable Bill, Utilities, Gas, Food, Entertainment, etc.

Keep a small notebook with you at all times. Get in the habit of recording every expense and saving the receipts.
Sit down once a week with your small notebook and receipts. Record your expenses in a larger notebook or a spreadsheet program.

Trim your expenses. Take a good, hard look at your spending records after a month or two have passed. You’ll probably be surprised when you look back at your record of expenses: $300 on ice cream, $100 on parking tickets? You’ll likely see some obvious cuts you can make. Depending on how much you need to save, however, you may need to make some difficult decisions. Think about your priorities, and make cuts you can live with. Calculate how much those cuts will save you per year, and you'll be much more motivated to pinch pennies.

Can you move to a less expensive apartment or house? Can you refinance your mortgage?
Can you consolidate your debts so that you're not paying as much interest?
Can you save money on gas, or give up a car altogether? If your family has multiple cars, can you bring it down to one?
Can you get a better price on insurance? Call around and make sure you are getting the best price you can. Consider taking a higher deductible, too.
Can you drop a land line and either only use your cell phone or save money by calling over the internet for free with services such as Skype?
Can you live without cable or satellite TV?
Can you cut down on your utility bills?
Can you restrict eating out? Buy food in bulk? Cook more at home? You might be able to save a lot of money on food.

Reassess your savings goals. Subtract your expenses (the ones you can't live without) from your take-home income (i.e. after taxes have been taken out). What is the difference? And does it match up with your savings goals? Let's say you've decided you can definitely get by on $1500 per month, and your paychecks amount to $2300 per month. That leaves you with $800 to save. If there’s absolutely no way you can fit all your savings goals into your budget, take a look at what you’re saving for and cut the less important things or adjust the timeframe. Maybe you need to put off buying a new car for another year, or maybe you don’t really need a big-screen TV that badly.

Make a budget. Once you’ve managed to balance your earnings with your savings goals and spending, write down a budget so you’ll know each month or each paycheck how much you can spend on any given thing or category of things. This is especially important for expenses which tend to fluctuate, or which you know you're going to have a particularly hard time restricting. (E.g. "I will only spend $30 a month on movies/chocolate/coffee/etc.")

Stop using credit cards. Pay for everything with cash or money orders. Don't even use checks. It's easier to overspend when you're pulling from a bank or credit account because you don't know exactly how much is in there. If you have cash, you can see your supply running low. You can even bundle up the predetermined amount of cash allocated for each expense with a label or keep separate jars for each expense (e.g. a bundle/jar for coffee, another for gas, another for miscellaneous). As you pull money from a jar for that particular expense, you'll see how much remains and you'll also be reminded of your limit.

If you need to have credit cards but you don't want the temptation of having them available to use day-to-day, restrict that section of your wallet with a note or picture reminding you of your savings goals.
Credit cards are not inherently evil; it's all about your self control. If you use them responsibly (i.e. completely pay them off every month), you can benefit from them. But the reason most credit card companies make money, however, is because people end up spending money that they don't have. Unless you are one of the people who can religiously pay off the balance in full every month, you're better off foregoing the promotions that credit card companies use to lure you in (cash back, introductory APR, airline miles, and so on).

Open an interest-bearing savings account. It’s a lot easier to keep track of your savings if you have them separate from your spending money. You can also usually get better interest on savings accounts than on checking accounts (if you get interest on your checking account at all). Consider higher-interest options such as CDs or money-market accounts for longer savings goals.

Know where your money is. And how much of it, too. If you accidentally overdraw your bank account, you will incur hefty bank fees; worse yet, the place you paid with that check may slap a bounced check fee on top of that, and send the check in again, resulting in a second overdraft fee from the bank! So just a few cents missing to cover that check could result in over $100 in fees. To avoid that, you should always know how much money you've got in your account(s), so you never cut a check for more than what you have.

Look into checking and savings accounts that pay interest. Also, consider CDs (certificates of deposit) for longer-term savings with low risk.

Pay yourself first. Savings should be your priority, so don’t just say that you’ll save whatever’s left over at the end of the month. Deposit savings into an account (or your piggybank) as soon as you get paid. An easy, effective way to start saving is to simply deposit 10% of every check in a savings account. If you get a check or sum of cash, say 710.68, move the decimal point one place to the left and deposit that amount: 71.07. This works well and requires little thought; over several years, you've a tidy sum in savings. Over decades, you'll be a millionaire.

You can set up an automatic transfer from your checking account to your savings account.
Many employers allow you to deduct savings from your paycheck. The money is directly deposited in your savings account so you never even see it on your paycheck.
You can also have investments for retirement taken directly out of your pay, and the taxes may be deferred with this option.

TIPS TO EARN MORE ON PTC PROGRAMS!

It took me a little while to learn how to make more money even quicker, but I now I have worked it out, made the mistakes and lost the money doing the wrong things, now I will share the right way to do it with you.

When I first started, it took me weeks to even get a few cents from all the programs I use and I use about 30 of them. Now I get payments almost every day from them from $0.15 cents up to $0.55 cents currently, I know this does not sound a ot, but when you add up all the small amounts it soon adds up.

First Tip - Upgrade Your Membership

Put aside a percentage of your online earnings aside to upgrade your membership on a program, most programs will give a higher percentage of what your referrals make if you upgrade. Only upgrade after a program has paid you, so that you know they are genuine.

What I do to see if it is worth upgrading with a program, I divide the yearly upgrade fee by 12 months, so lets say a $10 yearly upgrade divided by 12 is roughly 83 cents then if I make more than that within a month, I will upgrade as the upgraded membership will make even more than a free member.

Second Tip - Buy Referrals

Some programs will give you the option to buy referrals, the prices vary from program to program.

For Example, Another Realm sell their referrals for $2 each, but they periodically offer deals such as 4 referrals, 500 link credits, 500 banner credits and more for $3.50. These are the types of deals I wait for and then buy, because I have just got 4 Referrals plus more for only $3.50 instead of $8.

These referrals make me as an upgraded member 55% percent of there earnings, also and if you buy referrals off the program, they are more likely to be active referrals and not just a number on your referral stats page.

You can also refer people for free yourself to the programs you have signed up to, check, when you refer people yourself they are more likely to be less active than bought referrals.

The Poor Dad in the story is based on Kiyosaki's real father, a PhD holder and graduate of Stanford, Chicago, and Northwestern University, all on full scholarship, who was the head of the Education department of the state of Hawaii. In the book, he is greatly respected until he decides, late in his career, to take a stand on principle against the governor of Hawaii. This leads directly to Poor Dad losing his job, and his inability to find comparable work ever again. Because he has never learned to handle money, instead depending on the government (his employer) for support, he dies in severe debt.

In contrast to this character is Rich Dad, his best friend Michael's father, and Kiyosaki's father's partner. Rich Dad dropped out in 8th grade, but became a self-made multi-millionaire regardless. He teaches Kiyosaki and Michael a variety of financial lessons, and insists that the boys learn to make money work for them to avoid spending their whole lives working for money, like Rich Dad's employees, as well as Poor Dad, and indeed most of the people in the world. There is a lot of this book that is hard to swallow as truth, and one needs to be aware that it is allegorical.
